When a business uses HoD Business, checking in is one scan of your Passport QR. They see only the records you've chosen to share, and you can turn their access off at any time. And what they log comes back to your pet's Passport: a groom, a vet visit and its vaccines, or the walks, food and meds from a boarding stay.

Is Dexter really free?
Yes. The Dexter app is free for pet parents, with no paywall.
Can I book a vet or groomer in Dexter?
Not in the app today.
Is Dexter AI a vet?
No. Dexter AI gives general pet-care guidance using your pet's profile, records and reminders. It doesn't diagnose, prescribe or change doses. If you're worried, or it's an emergency, contact a vet straight away.
Who can see my pet's Passport?
Only what you choose. You switch each detail on or off, pick how long access lasts, and can revoke it any time. Someone scanning with a phone camera sees, at most, your pet's identity and vaccination status.
What can Smart Import read?
PDFs, photos (including JPG, PNG and HEIC) and text files up to 20 MB, like vaccination records, prescriptions and lab reports. You check the details before anything is saved.
Which pets can I add?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, turtles, hamsters, horses and more. You can add every pet to one account.
Where is Dexter available?
Anywhere. It's software, so pet parents can join from wherever they are. Use it on the web today. The App Store and Google Play apps are coming soon.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Delete it in the app or from our delete account page, and your pets, records, reminders, chats and Passport data are deleted.
