About House of Dexter

Smart tech
for happy pets.

House of Dexter makes the free Dexter app for pet parents, and HoD Business for groomers, vets and boarding homes.

Pet care shouldn't live
in a drawer.

Vaccination records in a drawer. Prescriptions in an old chat. Reminders in your head. Caring for a pet should feel calmer than that. We build tools that keep your pet's story together and let you decide who sees what.

Three things
we won't compromise on.

Your pet comes first.

We build around your pet, not a shopping cart.

Your data, your call.

You choose what's shared. We don't sell your data.

Honest about what we do.

Dexter AI gives guidance, not a diagnosis. We say what's in the app, and what isn't.

What we make

Dexter app.

For pet parents: records, Smart Import, reminders, Dexter AI, Pet Passport and community. Free. No paywall.

HoD Business.

For groomers, vets and boarding homes, starting with Passport QR check-in.

For business ›

You at the centre.
Their care, connected.

House of Dexter is building a complete pet ecosystem around the pet parent. The Dexter app keeps your pet's records. HoD Business gives groomers, vets and boarding homes QR check-in, and what they log comes back to your pet's Passport. You decide what each business sees, and you can turn access off at any time.

Built in India.
Open to everyone.

Dexter is for pet parents everywhere. It's on the web today, and the App Store and Google Play apps are coming soon. House of Dexter is an Indian private limited company.

Who we are

Why it's called House of Dexter

I didn't plan on Dexter.
He came into my life unexpectedly, and through him I found something I hadn't really noticed before: how much love there is around pets, and around the people who care for them.
That's what made me want to build something for the pet community, a place where all of us can help pets, wherever they are in the world.
It starts at home.
When your own pet gets proper care, they get a better life, and every bigger change begins there.
When the community is on one platform, we can help each other too.
Someone posts about a lost pet.
Someone else finds a new home for one who needs it.
There was another side to it.
Groomers, vets and boarding homes look after our pets every day, and they deserve tools that make running their business easier.
So we built that too, and it became the business side of House of Dexter.
Dexter is the reason all of this exists, so it carries his name.
